For the new flight season, Air China has made certain adjustments to flights: adding routes, introducing luxurious aircraft for important international routes, and launching a new telephone value-added service to upgrade service quality so as to better satisfy the needs of passengers. During the adjustment period, Air China will be adding some non-stop flights to coastal cities. At the same time, partial changes will be made to original routes, such as the addition of one daily flight for the Beijing- Bangkok route, as well as route changes from Beijing- Dubai- Athens to Beijing-Paris- Athens, and from Beijing- Karachi- Kuwait to Beijing- Urumchi- Karachi. As for the adoption of aircraft type, Air China has launched its A330 luxurious passenger airplane for four international routes, namely Beijing-Rome, Beijing-London, Beijing-Dubai and Beijing-Munich. The above mentioned airplane is equipped with digital audio and video AVOD, and its business class seats come complete with advanced setup, fine adjustment, and memory functions. Passengers seated in the business cabin can adjust their seats to a more comfortable angle while enjoying their favorite programs on the 10.6 inch personal TV. They can also handle official business efficiently during the flight with the convenience of a 100V AC socket attached to every seat. The aircraft also provides many entertainment options for passengers in economy class, including multi-media, online games and magnificent views of scenes outside the window. Air China had previously utilized this type of aircraft, which is suitable for long-distance flights and well-received by passengers for its human-oriented design, for long-distance routes such as Vancouver, Frankfurt, Paris, Madrid and Australia. Such adjustments enable more people to enjoy a more comfortable in-flight experience. Air China has at this time also officially introduced a telephone check-in service for domestic flights departing from Beijing, which allows passengers to handle check-in formalities for the following day’s flight after 8 am every day. By calling service hotline 4008-100-999, passengers can access the telephone check-in service, select seats in advance, and cancel bookings up to 1.5 hours before flight departure. At present, telephone check-in service is only available for passengers who buy tickets on Air China’s actual carrier flights through the Air China telemarketing service center. The service will be expanded after being perfected to gradually meet the demands of passengers requiring special services, such as infants, children and the disabled. |
